Down The Stretch Ranch would like to thank all the people who helped make 2017 a great year!

A special thanks to the Duke & Ruth Fette trust along with Rusty and Kerri McGuire. The continued support of Co-Founders, Jerry and Janet Hollendorfer, has enabled the ranch to continue its mission. The ranch has cared for no less than 22 retired thoroughbred race horses the past three years with a herd count of 25 going into 2018. The ranch has teamed up with CARMA,  a thoroughbred aftercare organization in California, and we look forward to helping place more of these incredible equine athletes.

In 2017 the ranch was visited by over 60 veterans and their families. Spending time with these people has been an unbelievable blessing. The sacrifices and hardships some of these guys have endured is very sobering and reaffirms our mission. I also want to thank Marine sergeant Jeff Smith and Army machine gunner Jerald Reichel for their service, friendship and hard work out here.

2017 saw the passing of my cousin Mark Moran. Mark was a marine who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Mark was a huge inspiration in starting the ranch, may he rest in peace.

The 2017 golf tournament was blast! We raised close to 13k! Thanks Mark and Diane Roff for putting it on and the great party after. Thanks to all who played, volunteered and sponsored. A special shout out to Rick Coliton, Glyn Kelly, Jerry Medved and Ray McCanna.

Thanks for all the hard work from board members, Kerri & Tim Ames, Pete & Libby Wilkins, Mark Roff and Kandy Bartlett. Also thanks to our ranch vet Matt Schmidt and web designer Amelia Tiedmann.
